Hi everyone from Shakespeare & Taylor HQ, we hope all is well. Been really busy this week, finishing a kitchen for a lovely family who wanted their kitchen to reflect the practicalities of multi generational living. I spent time with the family and talked through with each family member what they wanted from their new kitchen. The result has been a well informed design which is practical, stylish and has delivered on all of the requests without compromising on aesthetics. 

 

We have had great feedback from an oak serving tray specifically designed for a private clinic and with patients in mind. The dimensions allowed for a cup and small snack, perfect for serving drinks whilst offering strength and stability through the materials and the design. The wood is European Oak FSC compliant and finished with a food safe oil and oak is relatively easy to clean and maintain, requiring just a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth to keep it looking great.

 

We have just delivered an order for multiple chopping boards to a group of friends who have recently completed a two day cookery course together. They wanted to have something practical and a keep sake, so I used  solid oak to make a board which could be used daily, made to a high standard and looks and feels like it belongs in a kitchen where they can remember as a group and cook as individuals.
